'Doulas helping women in labour is an ancient and widespread practice'

Hi! My name is Sarah. I am a certified birth & postnatal doula living in Frome, Somerset. I cover Somerset, Wiltshire, and the surrounding area.

Warmest congratulations on your pregnancy.

A little more about me; I am a mother, sister, and friend. Passionately devoted to birth-work and motherhood.

I love guiding expectant parents through the birthing process. Providing evidence based information and physical support to families, I help them have easier, and more positive births. In short i'm a personal birthing coach!

My relationship with families is unique, it is individualised support. I take time to learn and understand your story, your birth preferences, I hold no judgement. I simply support you unconditionally, with continuous one to one support.

I will help you to remember to believe in yourself! I will advocate for your choices and help provide you with the resources you need to make informed decisions about your birth.

My journey into birth work was planted as a seed at an early age. Greatly influenced by my mother; watching her tend to families as a nanny. Following in her footsteps, I have over 15 years of professional childcare experience.

Influenced by the beautiful doula supported home birth of my son, Ozzie Kingston, I was inspired to become a doula myself; so that I too could help mothers and partners experience their most positive birth. I completed my doula training in Los Angeles, California, with Doula Training International. I am an certified ‘Doula UK’ doula.

The birthing process can be a wild ride, every birth is different, having the presence of a trained Doula by your side can ease anxiety and stress by normalising the process. I know birth, I know how to make suggestions to ease the discomforts of labour for both Mum and partner. I am an experienced birth doula and have worked in home births, hospital births, natural births, and cesarean births.

When I am not busy assisting births, I spend my time with my little partner in adventure, Ozzie, making memories and chasing dreams. Being a movement enthusiast you can find us hiking, camping, climbing mountains, and swimming in the sea.

I have a clean drivers license, paediatric first aid training, and Rebozo Scarf qualification for pain management- accredited by the Royal College of Midwives. I am currently in a continuing education program with the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers to become a breastfeeding counsellor.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions, and to discuss your needs.
